"SPLasso for High-dimensional Additive Hazards Regression with Covariate Measurement Error"

Abstract
High-dimensional error-prone survival data are prevalent in biomedical studies, where numerous clinical or genetic variables are collected for risk assessment. The presence of measurement errors in covariates complicates parameter estimation and variable selection, leading to non-convex optimization challenges. We propose an error-in-variables additive hazards regression model for high-dimensional noisy survival data. By employing the nearest positive semi-definite matrix projection, we develop a fast Lasso approach (semi-definite projection Lasso, SPLasso) and its soft thresholding variant (SPLasso-T), both with theoretical guarantees. Under mild assumptions, we establish model selection consistency, oracle inequalities, and limiting distributions for these methods. Simulation studies and two real data applications demonstrate the methods’ superior efficiency in handling high-dimensional data, particularly showcasing remarkable performance in scenarios with missing values, highlighting their robustness and practical utility in complex biomedical settings.

54th European Mathematical Genetics Meeting

The EMGM is an annual scientific conference that brings together researchers working at the intersection of statistics, mathematics, and human genetics. 11th Workshop on Biostatistics and Bioinformatics

Statistics, Exposome and Environmental Health Conference

This event is part of the thematic semester “Maths, Biology and Health” organized by the Henri Lebesgue Center in 2026. Its aim is to strengthen synergies between the fields of statistics and public health by creating a space for exchange and a community around methodological challenges related to health data. 35 Simposio Internacional de Estadistica 2026

The Simposio Internacional de Estadistica 2026 in Colombia would serve as a space to (i) disseminate, and discussion of statistical presentations that are conducted by statistical students, professors, users and researchers in statistics; (ii) generate dynamics in statistical activities, incentivizing the generation of new publications and the new statistical research paths, (iii) promote a space for the discussion of inter-institutional projects and to develop projects and agreements for inter-institutional projects, as well as the development of groups and research projects. This symposium has been one of the most important statistical scientific meetings in Latin-American in which people in academia and others professional sciences of the scientific community interested in diverse statistical applications, including Colombian residents or from other countries, would meet seeking to sharp their cutting-edge statistical knowledge, as well as to share their own experiences in this field. The 2026 symposium topic is Bayesian Statistics.

International Conference on Trends and Perspectives in Linear Statistical Inference, LinStat 2026

The purpose of the meeting is to bring together researchers sharing an interest in a variety of aspects of statistics and its applications as well as matrix analysis and its applications to statistics, and offer them a possibility to discuss current developments in these subjects. The conference will mainly focus on research of linear modelling methods, estimation, testing, and predictions in economic, medical, and social science data, analysis of multivariate and high-dimensional data with special regard to complex data structures, robustness of relevant statistical methods, estimation of variance components appearing in linear models, generalizations to nonlinear models, design and analysis of experiments, including optimality and comparison of linear experiments, and applications of matrix methods in statistics.
